Sencor was founded in Japan in 1969. Sencor comes from the Japanese term “sen”, meaning 1,000 and the Latin term “cor” meaning the heart. In the early 1990’s, the company moves to Europe. Sencor produces a wide range of consumer electronics including Sencor boomboxes that were mainly produced in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
