National Boomboxes
National was an electronics company founded in Osaka, Japan by Konosuke Matsushita in 1925. Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. first used the National name to sell battery-powered bicycle lamps across Japan and later home appliances and electronics. The company name was changed to Panasonic Corporation in October, 2008 to conform with the popularity of the brand everybody knows, Panasonic.

The National name was used on their electronic products and also National Panasonic, taking advantage of the success of the Panasonic name. National boomboxes will either have National or National Panasonic.
